Wade Hollis sings like a man who has watched the sun come up over a pasture more times than he can count. A country-soul singer-songwriter from the Texas Hill Country, he wraps honky-tonk storytelling around a voice soaked in gospel harmonies and Saturday-night neon.

Raised in Luckenbach — a town famous for its dancehall and its two-stepping ghosts — Wade learned harmony in the church pew and rhythm hauling feed on his grandfather’s ranch. The dancehall house band let him sit in on weekends; by twenty, he was fronting it.

He spent his twenties doing both: ranch work before dawn, gigs after dark. A string of regional Texas contests turned into opening slots, and the demo that became “Neon Hallelujah” was cut in a friend’s barn studio in a single take.

Now splitting his time between Luckenbach and Austin, Wade is finishing his debut album Dust & Choir — songs about work, faith, and the last slow dance — and taking his four-piece band from dancehalls to festival stages across Texas.

“He sings like the last hour of a really good Saturday night.”
